YX Engineering supported the renovation of Mr Smooth's BBQ & Smokehouse in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. Our scope included the review and preparation of floor plans — incorporating an accessible washroom in accordance with CSA B651 barrier-free design requirements — as well as the design and construction oversight of the commercial kitchen ventilation and fire suppression systems in compliance with NFPA 96. The restaurant has since become a well-known BBQ destination in the Cole Harbour community.
